Communications Hub Radio Frequency & Hardware Expert - Office location options - Manchester, Nottingham or London - Hybrid!
We are currently searching for a permanent position within our UK-based client, a central communications service provider, for an expert in Radio Frequency and Hardware for Communications Hub. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming business requirements into effective solutions to deliver robust technical capabilities to our client and its customers.
As our expert in Communications Hub RF & HW, your responsibilities will include:
Collaborating in the definition of hardware and RF requirements for the Communications Hub product.
Tackling technical challenges and leading the development of solution assessments and designs.
Establishing relationships with solution providers to gain insights into the intricacies of their solutions.
Challenging solutions to optimize both their value-for-money and technical capability.
Representing the solution architecture function at stakeholder liaison and governance meetings.
Providing support for design change requests and the implementation of modifications.
Offering RF and HW technical expertise for Quality Management processes during the manufacturing of Communications Hubs.
Contributing RF and HW technical expertise to the Incident and Problem Management processes.Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in RF design and testing of IoT products supporting multiple technologies, including ZigBee PRO running on 868MHz and/or 2.4GHz.
Familiarity with 2G/3G/4G, Sub-GHz/2.4GHz ZigBee, WiFi, and Bluetooth coexistence issues.
Strong grasp of Antenna design and characteristics (Gain, Directivity, VSWR, etc.).
Knowledge and experience with Wide Area Network technologies, particularly cellular systems, 2G/3G/4G 3GPP RF specifications.
Familiarity with product compliance testing (e.g., EMC, EMI, and related tests).
Understanding of Quality Management for Manufacturing of IoT-type products.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities.
Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.Benefits of Joining:
