As a member of the Professional Services team, you will deliver complex projects on a concurrent basis (multiple Stage, Phases, product applications, geographies etc) on time, on budget and to the agreed scope of the customers. The role will involve both, working from home and on site with customers as required.
This is a senior project manager role working on ERP projects of up to £1M across Finance, Manufacturing and distribution. It requires the ability to be as blunt as necessary and as diplomatic as necessary!
Typically the role is to look after 6 projects made up of a few upgrades worth £100K each, one £250K project and one large £500K plus project.
You report to the MD and the Professional Services director but they are both busy and expect you to make the decisions yourself; so the role has lots of responsibility and autonomy.
You will need a very strong ERP project management background running multiple large projects over £100K simultaneously.
Creation and implementation of a suitable project SOW, project plan, PID, communication plan and other associated documentation and processes required for customer projects.
Responsible for the creation and agreement of Project schedules to meet the project timescales. Coordinating with the consulting team, collaborating with other team leaders/PMs, allocating tasks and maintaining an accurate resource schedule.
Ensure that all required documentation and tools are available and accessible to the project team as necessary
Manage project risks and proactively create mitigation strategies
Managing customer expectation is paramount to the successful delivery of the project and essential to overall customer satisfaction. Managing scope creep and keeping aligning with the goals of the project is critical for the success of the role.
Review and maintain control of project issues & gaps, liaising with the project teams to resolve to conclusion.
Control the Change Management process enabling effective budget control, resource planning, and alignment with the customer.

Ensure project meetings take place at the frequency deemed necessary and customer stakeholders are managed accordingly.
Monitor and review consultant Activity Reports and Time & Expense Entries for subsequent approval
Ensure projects are sufficiently closed out with the customer to enable better resource utlilization and ensuring a smooth handover to the support team.
Assist with the development of Project Management disciplines as required
Knowledge and Experience
Experience of project managing implementing large ERP software with at least 5 years of experience
Proven success in concurrent software project implementations, deployments, and upgrades
High level of proficiency is MS Office, MS Projects and ideally SharePoint
PMP/PRINCE2 Certification highly advantageous
Experience with the concepts of LEAN and Agile methodologies would be beneficial
