Procurement Management Executive - IT Procurement
Our leading international law firm client are currently looking to take on a new Procurement Management Executive (IT Procurement) on a perment basis. They are a very entrepreneurial and rapidly expanding international law firm, in 2 years they have expanded by 25% with a huge amounts of turnover continuing to grow year on year. They have a new COO and entirely new IT Leadership team and they have taken IT from outdated and instable, to amongst best in class for the legal sector. The business are investing big in ensuring the technologies they utilise are class leading.
to be considered for this Procurement Management Executive (IT Procurement) role it's ideal you have:
* 2-3 years in a similar position
* Ideal but not required law firm experience
* Responsible for the procurement lifecycle within RPC including (but not limited to) delivering the following activities - obtaining competitive quotes, purchasing of approved goods and services including raising purchase orders, managing the timely processing of supplier invoices, managing supplier delivery times/logistics and supply issues.
* Responsible for monitoring spend against budget on an on-going basis. This includes facilitating regular reviews with budget holders and the Finance team to ensure timely production of accurate, meaningful analysis of supplier spend, classified by category and technology team. The SMO team works with budget holders to provide quarterly and annual accruals and spend forecasts to the Finance team.
* Responsible for supplier information management including updating and maintaining the critical data sources that drive the SMO's core processes. This includes updating and maintaining the supplier contracts database and other repositories where information is securely stored on the firm's systems.
* Preparing regular and adhoc MI (Management Information) reports on the SMO's business as usual and project related activities.
* Responsible for working with the firm's software licensing partners and internal stakeholders to purchase, track and renew licenses as required.
* Responsible for understanding and ensuring adherence to the firm's supplier management governance including, but not limited to, relevant law, regulatory compliance, risk
* management, information security policies, data protection/processing and commercial requirements.
* Ownership of the IT contracts renewal anniversaries including working with supplier relationship owners in a timely fashion to understand their strategy for the existing relationship. This includes overseeing the timely termination of existing relationships in accordance with contractual commitments.
* Own and deliver tasks and/or workstreams for tactical and strategic projects that are led by the SMO or where the SMO is a stakeholder. Management of RFI and RFP processes and negotiating supplier contracts when required.
* Responsible for ensuring the SMO knowledge base is continuously updated with relevant knowledge to reflect changes and additions to processes. Updates must be clear and easy to understand. This is critical activity as it supports the SMO's Business Continuity Plan
