I am working with a client that is offering an opportunity for a Platform Engineer to become a part of their team. This client is recognized internationally as a top domain name registry and they have also moved into the Cyber Security space over recent years. They are a successful and expanding company that are leaving a huge impact on the tech industry and supporting other companies and individuals through charity and support work. They are in search of a Platform Engineer to join their newly formed Edge Platform Team.

As a Platform Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the creation, development, and upkeep of an advanced DNS Resolver platform that stands at the forefront of technology. This platform serves as the cornerstone of the global internet infrastructure, powering essential services like the esteemed UK registry and various cybersecurity products. In this role, you'll actively engage with a diverse array of technologies, guiding the platform's evolution and ensuring its seamless operation.

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

Proficiency in virtualized environments, encompassing Linux/KVM Hypervisors and OpenStack/VMware.

Advanced expertise in Linux, with a primary focus on automation and performance optimization.

Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Ansible, Terraform, Chef, and Puppet.

A robust background in security, including the capability to effectively secure Linux kernels.

Knowledge of fundamental networking principles, spanning routing, switching, and load balancing.
