Software Developer

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking a Software Developer on behalf of one of our clients. To work across the digital manufacturing team to design, support and develop software solutions based on business needs. Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Capture requirements for software developments in support of the business or its customers and develop plans for delivery.

Design appropriate applications to meet requirement specifications using appropriate software platform technologies.

Develop software code, test and document software applications as required by design.

Flexible use of software application platforms required to meet the requirement specification. This may include C#, Angular, Blazor, ASP.net, .net core, Web API, EF Core, SQL, TSQL.

End user IT support when necessary, working with other team members across a diverse range of IT technologies in science and engineering based R&D organisation.

Utilisation of teams existing processes for documentation and coding standards.

Participate in team sessions on best practices for software development, continually investigating new methods for improvement.

Skills and Qualifications:

Degree or equivalent experience.

Experience using a relational databases (SQL Server preferred).

Experience using a frontend framework e.g., Angular, Blazor, React.

C#.

Strong technical background

Knowledge and interest in new technologies and how they can be applied.

Understanding of Agile development.

Good communication skills.

Customer focused and looking for continual improvement.

Fluent in written and spoken English.

Desirable:

VB.net.

Good understanding of CSS
