Application Project Lead

Location: Wantage (regular travel required)

Salary: Up to £60,000 DOE

Overview:

First Military Recruitment are currently seeking an Application Project Lead on behalf of one of our clients.

Our client encourages applications from ex-military personnel however all candidates will be given due consideration.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Work with the businesses or with the Model and Service strategy team, as appropriate, to capture and deliver proposals for application services in line with business strategy.

Follow Prince 2 methodology from initiation to sign off and transition.

Advise the Project Manager of any deviations from the plan and the solutions, recommend corrective actions, and prepare any appropriate exception plans.

Handle communication and training/document packages.

Coordinate project delivery with partners and outsourced teams.

Analysis and resolution of incidents, changes and problems when appropriate.

To act as a service owner as well as guide and assist service owners within the team.

Meet governance requirements and comply with SOX and ISO/ITIL framework procedures.

Skills and Qualifications:

Educated to degree level in Information Technology or related subject.

IT or project management background with experience working with a similar role.

Experience of ERP implementations, cutover and go-lives.

Experience of SAP implementations and projects would be an advantage for this role.

Strong problem solving skills.

Time management skills with a flexible and self-motivated approach.

Attention to detail.

Deadline focus.

Be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Continuous improvement mind set.

Able to travel extensively in EMEA.

Willingness to adapt to different cultures and circumstances
