Audio Visual Engineering Manager
Brief Overview of Role:
The Engineering Manager has the overall responsibility for developing and monitoring the engineering team to ensure maximum efficiency, productivity, and utilization. To lead and provide high-quality service and operational support to our client’s customers and internal business functions. This is an office-based role.
Also acts as a liaison between the cross-team support i.e., resource management, design, PM, and programming with methodologies common to all areas.
This job is open to candidates within commutable distance of London / the M4 corridor. All applicants must have the right to work in the UK with any visas (if required) already in place. Sponsorship cannot be offered.
Accountabilities Include:
Team Liaison and Leadership:
Leadership to drive cross-team cooperation and company efficiencies.
Develop and foster the team ethos of ‘Right First Time’ and a recognised code of conduct.
Follow appropriate departmental and company procedures and policies (i.e., change control, problem, and incident management)
Mentor and coach, the Team Leaders
Identify training needs and requirements for yourself individually and the team.
Monitor performance through objectives and appraisals and the trainee skills matrix.
Absence escalation
Communicating information to the sales support team from Senior Management and other departments
Monthly meetings with other Team leaders and MD
Responsible for review of engineer’s objectives and scorecard measurements.
Help desk support.
Technical project support
Knowledge & Key Skills
Five years audiovisual experience
Strong organisational and planning skills
Strong customer service and support focus with a desire to deliver a high-quality service.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Self-motivated and highly professional with the ability to lead and take ownership and responsibility.
Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and to tight deadlines.
Positive ‘can-do’ attitude
