Role Name: Senior Associate, DevOps Engineer Corporate Technology
Location of Requirement: Hyderabad
Desired Experience Range: 7 years to 14 Years
Role Profile
• In this role, you'll be joining our CRM, External Digital and Marketing team within Corporate Technology (CT) as a Senior Associate, DevOps Engineer.
• LSEG is embarking on an ambitious journey to build a best-in-class Salesforce DevOps capability, investing in our people, processes, and products to enable our growing change portfolio to be delivered using modern ways of working. Joining our team, you will be partnering with delivery squads to guide them on the best ways to build and promote their changes through the deployment pipeline. You will be considered an expert partner to these teams, using that partnership to further gain knowledge and contribute to our ongoing improvement and automation efforts.
Tech Profile/Essential Skills
• Knowledge and experiencing conducting Salesforce deployments using off the shelf tools or via self-built toolchains.
• 2 Years of experience in Salesforce DevOps & Release Management.
• Salesforce administration experience.
• Hands-on experience deploying change with Salesforce deployment tools, such as Copado.
• Understanding of sandbox strategy, git concepts, release strategy branching strategy, and release pipelines.
• Knowledge of Salesforce DevOps processes and the tools that support deployment of change through environments.
• Knowledge of Salesforce platform and solution components, with hands-on experience in error handling (Apex, Batches, Flows) and troubleshooting implementation issues.
• Ability to work with teams to assist and guide them on deployment practices, while implementing improvements to enable f urther automation of deployments.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English with all levels of staff, both orally and written.
• Ability to manage own work and multitask to meet tight deadlines without losing sight of priorities under minimum supervision.
Preferred Skills and Experience
• Strong troubleshooting skills and an acumen for identifying the root cause of issues.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Highly motivated, self-directed individual with a positive & pro-active attitude.
• A competent coordinator, confident in bringing together a variety of people to build a plan and determine the best way to execute.
• Customer and service focused, determined to get to the right outcome for our internal customers while protecting the quality and integrity of the pipeline.
Education and Professional Skills
• Professional qualification or equivalent.
• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or STEM degree (Desirable)
• Curious about new technologies and tools, creative thinking and initiative taking.
• Salesforce certifications will be beneficial.
Detailed Responsibilities
• Partner with Salesforce Development Team(s), both internal and external, to guide on the best way to build and deliver changes, while assisting with the resolution of deployment errors.
• Works with developers to continually assess and improve the training, are quality standards, and tools are meeting their needs.
• Deliver improvements from the DevOps team backlog aimed at improving delivery capability, platform stability, and reduction of technical debt.
• Manage release readiness criteria, ensuring all changes meet quality criteria prior to deployment.
• Produce and contribute to effective documentation, such as Standard Operating Procedures, Knowledge Articles, and Technotes that can be understood by all levels of staff.
• Define and manage release readiness and success criteria based on business requirements including proactively identify and mitigate risks and remove obstacles to release.
• Must interact with global teams spanning EMEA, The Americas, and APAC.
• Ensure a continuously maintained view of assigned projects, ensuring that User Stories meet a high standard of quality.
• Review and advise on output from quality gates, such as testing output, static code analysis results, and automated testing packs.
