WHAT TO EXPECTThe Propulsion Software Quality team is expanding to create the next generation of modern luxury vehicles. Our mission is to continuously improve and manage the in-house and supplier software of our propulsion control systems. We are a multi-cultural and inclusive team operating with an agile mindset to rapidly deliver great innovation for our stakeholders and customers.
As part of the Propulsion Software Governance team, you will lead the continuous evaluation of software development and delivery, ensuring best process practices are followed through. This includes coordination of software and supplier teams to adhere to standard processes for delivering cutting edge technology. Working with other areas of Engineering such as autonomous driving and motion control, you will ensure common practices and processes are applied to Propulsion software.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities - Drive adherence to process best practices and guidelines for Propulsion in-house & supplier software development.
- Software processes are defined and tailored to Propulsion's development needs and constraints
- Propulsion software processes are revised to meet latest regulations and automotive standards (A-SPICE, ISO 26262, UNECE R156, R155)
- Regular reviews and assessments of processes are planned and conducted to plan
- Deviation and improvement actions are defined and monitored to closure
- Regular interactions are maintained with key process and project stakeholders
- Contribution to cross-department software process forums and product showcases
- Support issue investigations with software teams and suppliers, using structured problem-solving techniques and securing robust prevention of issues
- Capture best practice and lessons learned in process and tool chain improvements
- Provide process coaching and training to development teams
- Contribute to solution definition, balancing process and product requirements
- Present project and process status reports to senior and director level forums
WHAT YOU'LL NEED - Practical experience in defining automotive software processes and guidelines.
- Practical experience in driving compliance to ASPICE framework, functional safety (ISO 26262) and / or UNECE Regulations (156, 155)
- Experience in delivering projects aligned to System and Software product life cycle
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with strong collaborating and influencing skills
- Familiar with Agile ways of working (Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile)
- Awareness of Propulsion systems
