We are seeking Research Assistant to join our interdisciplinary team based at the School of Engineering and Department of Cardiovascular Sciences at the University of Leicester . The post is a part time role (0.5FTE) funded by MRC IAA fund and fixed-term for up to 12 months. The post will be central to developing machine learning methods with the goal of enhancing the effectiveness of our healthcare technology as part of the development of a low-cost heart rhythm monitor . The work will contribute to the future of digital healthcare and telemedicine by making remote healthcare solutions more accessible and efficient. This role is part of a collaboration with senior colleagues in the Department of Cardiovascular Sciences and School of Engineering at the University of Leicester and the University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust.
About you
Educated to master's degree or equivalent in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Signal Processing, Mathematics, Computational Statistics, or a related field, you should have demonstrable experience in developing machine learning algorithms. Your research experience should include working in a highly interdisciplinary team, and be demonstrated by a good publication record in the scientific literature. Key to any research roles, you should have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong written and verbal communication skills.
