Senior Developer with experience working in the Global technology and Business users.
Building and implementing new development tools and Infrastructure using ETL processes
Take responsibility for Apache Hadoop development and implementation.
Testing and examining code written by others & analysing the results.
Excellent facilitation skills and ensuring that systems are safe and secure.
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
Collaborating with developers, Business Analysts & software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended.
Deploy updates and fixes and provide Level 2 technical support.
Ensure process compliance and manage expectations of the leadership.
Promoting unit/functional testing and code inspection processes.
Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues.
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance.
Ownership and responsibility for end-to-end design and development, testing, release of key components & sprint planning.

Candidate Specifications
Hands on working experience with Spark, Java8, Hive, Hbase, HDFS, Kafka, Flume, SQL
Experience with Hadoop, Java, Shell Script, Spark, and Hive
Knowledge of AGILE methodology
Experience as Senior software engineer or in a similar role working on Regulatory Reporting projects.
GCP knowledge on tools like BQ, BT , DataFlow and GKE would be preferred, but not essential.
Good interpersonal skills and positive attitude.
Banking Domain Knowledge.
Experience with Hadoop, Java, Shell Script, Spark, and Hive.
Relevant experience within application/software development.
Exposure to any cloud platform.
Understanding of data-warehousing and data-modelling techniques.
Experience with streaming frameworks such as Kafka.
Knowledge of Core Java, Linux, SQL, and any scripting language.
Review deployment and operational environments, i.e, execute initiatives to reduce failure, troubleshoot issues across the entire infrastructure stack, expand monitoring capabilities.
