We have an opportunity available within our National IT Department to join as a Software Support Technician on a 23-month fixed term contract. Your objective is to assist the Finance and Administration area, efficiently and accurately, with the support, maintenance, and development of our systems, ensuring compliance with all internal and external guidelines and regulations.
As a Software Support Technician, your core area of responsibility will be providing first and second line support alongside incident co-ordination for all applications within the Finance and Administration area. In addition, there will be a requirement to carry out administration tasks around request and release management and knowledge management. You will also assist with invoicing and budget consumption tracking where required.
There would also be a need for liaising with external service providers, and internal and external auditors when required.

- Incident and Request Coordination for applications within the area of responsibility
- Escalation of issues to internal support functions and direct leader, or to the International IT department when necessary
- Maintaining an appropriate incident log
- Maintaining an understanding of the user requirements and open issues for areas of responsibility
- Testing software to verify whether newly implemented requirements and existing functionality operate without errors
- Creating plans for software installations and maintenance programmes in conjunction with International IT Teams, national stakeholders and external suppliers as needed
- Supporting with administration tasks such as maintaining invoice and budget trackers
About You- GSCEs in Maths and English or equivalent qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Software support experience
- Experience working in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Stakeholder coordination experience
- Experience listing and analysing requirements and delivering sound solutions
- Experience using incident management tools
- Proficient in working with Microsoft Office, particularly with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Effectively prioritise and execute tasks while under pressure
- Be inquisitive and driven to perform to the best of their abilities
- Be capable of building trust and relationships at all levels
- Keen to take ownership and responsibility while working effectively within a team
- Be logical and efficient, with a keen attention to detail
- Be self-motivated
