Azure Platform Engineer

The Opportunity

We're looking for a cloud engineer on behalf of our client, a market leading, global association, who are embarking on a major transformation project.

A key part of this transformation will be focused around migrating to cloud infrastructure and the business are looking for a candidate with the technical knowledge and personal attributes to drive this project forward.

This is a fantastic opportunity for infrastructure specialists to take their career to the next level, as the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the migration, gaining end to end experience whilst being supported and mentored by the Head of Infrastructure as well as the wider IT department.

Key Responsibilities;

Play the leading role in planning and executing the migration to Azure under a hybrid cloud model

Deliver infrastructure projects to facilitate business transformation

Support the IT Manager in the designing and approval process of new technologies

Encourage best practice amongst colleagues, providing cross training and technical assistance as requiredKey skills and experience;

Experience in the implementation of cloud based technologies (Azure, Intune, Azure ADFS, Office 365). Any previous experience in cloud migrations would be desirable

Experience or aptitude in articulating technical knowledge to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Experience in working under a service management framework such as ITIL

Windows server and desktop operating systems skills (SCCM/SCOM, Active Directory)The client is a well-established business with a distinguished reputation in its field, alongside fantastic opportunities for career development the role also offers an attractive remuneration package which is not to be missed.
