Senior Software Engineer Responsibilities:

Lead software design, development, and review, from concept to the final product, across a range of systems.

Work closely with systems and hardware engineers to craft multidisciplinary solutions, defining software-hardware and software-firmware interfaces.

Engage in Safety Critical design activities at equipment, system, and software levels, ensuring robust test procedures for verification.

Act as the Design Authority or independent reviewer, providing technical governance for a portfolio of projects.

Make informed decisions regarding engineering design solutions.

Liaise and cooperate with Project Managers and Design Authorities to resolve technical, project, or resource challenges.

Provide software mentoring to project personnel.

Contribute to research and development efforts to enhance engineering quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Senior Software Engineer Requirements:

In-depth knowledge and experience in all aspects of software design and development.

Proficiency in a high-level programming language, such as C++, Java, or Linux-based systems.

Capable of evaluating, mitigating, and managing engineering risks across projects.

Ability to manage, motivate, and develop engineering employees.

Ability to present complex ideas to diverse audiences, including customers and stakeholders.
