White Oak are currently recruiting for a Full Time Cloud & Infrastructure Security Engineer to join our IT team. This is a hybrid role based at our Chester office.
What will I be responsible for?
As a Cloud Engineer you will be part of a team that maintains the company's infrastructure, both on prem and in the cloud, with a view to move more systems into the Cloud. Day to day duties will include:
Manage and maintain company firewall according to best practices.
Manage & maintain company network infrastructure, ensuring remediation of all faults.
3rd party relationship management (vendor/support)
Manage & maintain company server infrastructure, ensuring remediation of all faults.
Monitor server infrastructure to ensure that the company has enough resources to facilitate its needs.
Setup and configure business group policies.
Setup, manage and configure all server-based software including but not limited to IIS, SQL, File shares, Oracle, Exchange, SharePoint and Manage Engine.
Prevent or mitigate security incidents through proactive threat analysis and treatment.
Ensure that White Oak security appliances work optimally and are utilised according to best practice.
Manage and assure the business' DR and BCP Plans
Conduct, arrange and remediate 3rd party penetration tests.
Investigate and deliver new and relevant technologies, policies, processes and procedures.
Conduct due diligence on 3rd Party IT systems.
Ensure that White Oak cloud infrastructure is secure and available.
Essential Skills
Who are we looking for?
As our ideal Cloud Engineer, you will possess:
Previous 2nd or 3rd line support experience
Networking experience - TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, WLAN, Switching, Routing, policy-based Firewalls, VPN, Private Cloud
Web Gateways / Proxy Servers
Microsoft Server Operating Systems
Microsoft Office 365
Knowledge/Interest of SQL
Knowledge of Active directory
Knowledge of Group policy management
Knowledge of Veeam backup and resiliency
Knowledge of AWS and/or Azure
Knowledge of SAN technology
Knowledge of Cloud configuration and security
Knowledge of replication best practices
Knowledge of network best practices
Knowledge of security best practices
Microsoft Operating Systems, O365 and EMS
