IT Infrastructure Manager - £50,000 to £65,000 - Hull - 2 days Hybrid

Principal IT are working with the UK's largest independent builders merchant, , with 42 branches across England and Scotland. They aim to be a 'one st op shop' for building, timber and plumbing supplies, and stock a wide range of products from the industry's leading manufacturers.

Our client is looking for an IT Infrastructure Manager with a proven track record within a similar role to join their management team due continued expansion. In this role you will be reporting directly to the IT Director. As the Infrastructure Manager you will be responsible for providing a reliable service throughout the company. Some of the other duties and responsibilities of this role are as followed - Becoming the single point of control for IT Infrastructure standards and policies, been pro active with new technologies that can be used, project management, ensuring KPI's are met by the team and day by day strategy.

Essential Skills Required

LAN, WAN, switching, routing, firewall and WiFi

Windows Server management (MCSA / MCSE - Highly Desirable)

Good understanding of security - protection, detection, operating best practise and standards

Anti-Virus Management experience

Hyper-V/VMWare

Managing third party vendors and providers

Desirable

Experience within the builders merchant sector or other similar trade businesses

Experience with Apple MAC, Mobile Devises, Linux & Google Cloud

Our clients is looking for someone with experience of working in a similar role for 2 years within managing a team of IT Engineers, excellent problem solving skills and the ability to be technical and business literate.
