2nd Line Support Engineer (Windows , Win , Sever, AD , Active Directory, Office 365 , VMware or Hyper-V) – Permanent – Warrington

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking to recruit a 2nd Line Support Engineer for a market leading business based in Warrington. This exciting role will allow the 2nd Line Support Engineer to get hands on an array of technologies providing BAU support and being heavily involved in project based work, whilst also obtaining on the job training .

Location: Warrington

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the 2nd Line Support Engineer:

Start date is ASAP for the 2nd Line Support Engineer

The 2nd Line Support Engineer will have experience in most of the following technologies:

* Windows Server Environments, Active Directory, Group Policy

* Physical Server Troubleshooting

* Virtualisation Products (Hyper-V or VMware)

* Office 365 environments (Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)

* Windows 10/Windows 11 Troubleshooting

* Exposure to network Troubleshooting (VLANs, DNS, DHCP, VPN) & firewall troubleshooting

* Security Knowledge (Anti-Virus, Anti-Malware, Encryption, MFA Technologies)

* Backup Products (Veeam)

* Patch Management

The 2nd Line Support Engineer will be responsible for:

* Troubleshooting user problems and providing assistance as part of a small IT team

* Supporting all staff in the use of IT Services and provide MIS support

* BAU IT Support as well as involvement in project based migration work

* Providing a technical input in the use of new or upgraded hardware/software and recommending and leading on their implementation

* Bespoke Application Management and Support

* Workstation management - hardware, software, peripherals and input/output devices

* Providing accurate service reporting and root cause analysis on all reported issues

* Maintaining up to date inventories of hardware & software
