My client is an established financial organisation looking for an established Applications DBA, specialising in SQL, Azure and MS server. You will be in office 2 days per week and responsible for all databases, including maintenance and development.

Responsibilities:

Build and maintain SQL Azure and on-prem databases

Build and maintain SQL Azure managed instances

Provide database administration on existing on-prem SQL Servers (Apply online only))

Determine, enforce and document database policies, procedures and standards

Monitor database performance and SQL agent

What you'll need to succeed

Proven working experience as a Database Administrator

Excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL

Familiarity with database design, documentation and coding

Knowledge of MS SQL Server 2012 – 2022 (inc Azure)

Transact SQL

Understanding of Active Directory

Familiarity with DevOps practices

Knowledge of MS Office 365

Understanding of Active Directory
