Job Description:

Purpose and Responsibilities

As a Mobile Sr Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications using Flutter framework. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions and ensure an exceptional user experience.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, test, and maintain mobile applications using Flutter framework
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend developers to understand project requirements and translate them into functional applications
• Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing, deployment, and maintenance
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers
• Optimize application performance and ensure responsiveness across different devices and screen sizes
• Troubleshoot and debug application issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose solutions
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in mobile development and Flutter

Critical Job Duties:

• Develop creative, functional, maintainable, applications, services and components
• Write high quality, re-usable code following industry best practices
• Provide development estimates for enhancement requests
• Perform design/code reviews and help maintain code quality, performance, and application responsiveness
• Test programs to ensure quality and expected results before delivery to Quality Engineering
• Investigate and resolve bugs and/or deficiencies in project codebases
• Work on projects of moderate to advanced complexity
• Keep skills up-to-date with current and future software technologies through continued education and self-learning to ensure maximum functionality and efficiency
• Collaborate both in the team and cross-functionally, and contribute in group decision-making
• Assists & mentor junior and mid-tier engineers

Candidate Qualifications

The ideal candidate for this position has strong mobile development skills and experience. He/she is passionate about crafting solid code working alongside their team members to predictably deliver value. Said candidate will be curious and constantly looks to advance the current state of our products and the technologies we use.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a software related discipline or equivalent experience is preferred
• Proven experience as a Mobile Developer with a strong portfolio of mobile applications developed using Flutter
• Solid understanding of the Flutter framework, Dart programming language, and mobile development best practices
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and agile development methodologies
• Experience in developing platform adaptive apps
• Experience in state management using GetIt/Provider with reactive patterns like BLoC, MobX
• Clear understanding of separation of business logic from infrastructure and presentation layers (clean architecture)
• Proficiency in developing and consuming RESTful APIs and integrating third-party libraries
• Proficiency in using Drift/sqflight/Hive for storing and fetching data from a local store
• Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and ability to collaborate effectively with designers
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with native Android or iOS development (Java/Kotlin or Swift/Objective-C)
• Knowledge of backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, Firebase) and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB).
• Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
• Prior experience in building web based application (preferably with offline capability) using Flutter is desirable
• Hand-on experience in developing native apps in iOS/Android and building platform specific plugins in Flutter is a plus
• Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in the Flutter community
