Telecommunications Project Manager

Location: Fully remote with occasional travel (fully expensed)

Rate: £400/day (inside IR35)

Security Clearance: SC Cleared (Minimum MOD SC clearance, willing to undergo DV clearance)

Role Overview:

As a Telecommunications Project Manager, reporting to the Head of Delivery, you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and successful delivery of a telecommunications project. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the survey of secure sites, managing day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with regulations and legislation, and leading a team to achieve project goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Survey Management:

Oversee the survey of secure sites, providing detailed reports to pre-sales for cost modeling.

Ensure a compliant bill of materials and scope of works is generated during site surveys.

Operational Management:

Manage day-to-day project operations to achieve successful completion within time, budget, and quality constraints.

Address unforeseen delays promptly and effectively.

Regulatory Compliance:

Ensure all project work complies with building, security, health and safety regulations, and other legal requirements.

Security Clearance:

Manage security clearances for staff and visitors at secure sites.

Liaise with the end client or security department to communicate changes effectively.

Weekly Review Meetings:

Organize and chair weekly review meetings with the Electranet project team.

Qualifications and Experience:

Minimum MOD SC Clearance and willingness to undergo DV clearance

SMSTS Qualification

CSCS Card Holder to a Level of Site Manager

CIDA Qualified

5+ years of experience in telecommunications as a Project Manager and as an Engineer

Full understanding of telecommunications copper and fiber networks (Cat 5e, Cat 6, multi-mode, single mode)

Knowledge of telecommunication civil installations and JSP604 standards

Excellent communication skills

Proficient in MS Suite of products and MS Project

Strong financial budget control skills
