Group IT Projects Manager required for my client based in Hull for a permanent role.
You will manage a team of 8 in total and also remain partially hands-on.
You will need to have experience of infrastructure / transformation change and be used to working in a fast-paced agile environment.
Typically, you will spend 1 day per week at home, 2-3 in Hull and the rest on site completing / overseeing projects.
You will need to have experience within a manufacturing environment.
Your primary focus will be to manage IT infrastructure projects, developing and enhancing business systems, and steering business change initiatives.
Main duties include (but not limited to):
Leadership and Management: Direct the IT team in project management, systems analysis, design, testing, and implementation, specifically for manufacturing operations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside diverse teams to identify and prioritize technology projects that support business goals and deliver tangible enhancements in efficiency, quality, and safety.
Project Execution: Develop and manage project plans, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring completion within set parameters.
Quality Assurance: Oversee testing and QA processes, ensuring that technology solutions meet both business requirements and user needs.
Team Development: Provide leadership and mentorship to the IT team, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Requirements, experience, and person specification
Proven Experience: Demonstrable experience in IT project management, specialising in business change, systems implementation, and IT infrastructure projects.
Manufacturing Expertise: A solid background in the manufacturing sector is essential.
Agile/Scrum Proficiency: Profound understanding and hands-on experience in Agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, for managing projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
RACI Knowledge: Proficiency in using the RACI (Responsible, Accountable, Consulted, Informed) matrix for clear delineation of roles and responsibilities in project management.
ITIL Foundation: Knowledge or certification in ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library) for effective IT service management would be beneficial
