JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight is seeking a highly experienced and forward-thinking Manager IT to lead a global technical team. As an Automation and Innovation thought leader, this role requires a deep technical knowledge to introduce and maintain highly repeatable and reliable processes. Your strong execution skills will ensure deliverables are deployed in a timely manner and according to published team standards.

In this role, the Mgr IT will work directly with senior leadership to drive and execute the automation and innovation strategy. Your deep technical knowledge paired with your strong execution skills will enable you to provide guidance on emerging technologies and industry-standard practices. Your focus on Automation and Innovation will drive the technical team to develop highly efficient and effective solutions to meet business needs and improve operations.

This position requires a strong command of a variety of technical areas, which may include: applications programming, system design, robotics process automation, APIs and system administration.

What you'll do at Insight:

• Manage complex system administration and/or development with a focus on Automation and Innovation, including but not limited to Robotics Process Automation, Low-code, process intelligence, custom solution development, and APIs.
• Manage function and maintenance of at least one major subsystem.
• Supervise and coordinate all technical staff within their area of responsibility.
• Supervise technical delivery and scrum ceremonies.

• Foster and maintain high standards for the high performing team, including team building events, and regular 1:1 cadence.
• Participate in cross-functional design and development efforts to ensure optimal end-to-end solutions.
• Foster the technical "community" concept, defining disciplines and collaborative standards.
• Provide mentoring and career planning to promote employee satisfaction.
• Define and promote standards for coding, testing, deployment to production with Automation and Innovation at the forefront.

• Define and ensure compliance of standards for building systems and configuring operating systems.
• Define and ensure security compliance.
• Support published business Service Level Agreements.
• Provide guidance to technical team and clarify project scope and objectives with a focus on Automation and Innovation.
• Define team capacity and communicate regular status with stakeholders.

• Manage production support and ensure timely resolution of raised issues
• Direct revision of existing programs and/or infrastructure components to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
• Prepare proposals and reports as needed for senior management.

What you'll need to join Insight:

• BA/BS degree required, Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years business experience depending on area.
• 6-10 years technical experience in the relevant disciplines with a focus on Automation and Innovation.
• The ability to communicate clearly and effectively with staff and stakeholders, conveying information in a way that is easily understood.
• The ability to guide and motivate a team to achieve its goals, while also supporting individual growth and development.

• The ability to manage multiple priorities and coordinate tasks effectively, setting realistic timelines and milestones.
• Strong knowledge of relevant technologies and emerging technologies.
• Strong managerial and supervisory skills with experience leading global teams.
