As a Software Engineer III at JPMorgan Chase with RISK TECHNOLOGY Team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm's business objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Able to drive and develop scalable and resilient software solutions using wide range of technology stack and tool set
• Execute software solutions, design, development and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems
• Produces architecture and design artifacts for complex applications while being accountable for ensuring design constraints are met by software code development
• Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
• Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in develop and deliver software solutions as a full stack developer
• 3+ years of experience in software designing and collaboration with architecture team
• Hands-on experience in coding in Java, Spring Boot, React JS, JavaScript, AWS, SQL, performance tuning and debugging. React JS is must
• Good experience in working in build and deploy pipelines using Jules, Spinnaker tools
• In depth knowledge of middleware technologies, microservices based architecture and Java programming along with system design skills
• Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Applicant Resiliency, and Security
• Experience in framework development with product mindset and right use of data structures as well as enterprise integration patterns

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Willingness to learn and explore other cutting edge technologies relevant for the product development
• Exposure to banking/financial domain especially in risk reporting BI tools such as Tableau, PowerBI is a plus
• Cloud native experience and formal training or certification is a plus
• Familiarity with data observability tools Grafana, Telemetry for business and tech flows monitoring
