Your Role and Responsibilities We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manual QA Engineer to join our dynamic and innovative team. As a QA Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions to streamline our processes, increase efficiency, and optimize productivity. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify testing opportunities, design robust frameworks, and execute end-to-end testing. The ideal candidate should have a decent background in software development, proficiency in QA tools, and a passion for continuous improvement. Test strategy will include decomposing the business and technical requirements into test case scenarios, defining test data requirements, managing test case creation, devising contingencies plans and other preparation activities.
Responsibilities: - Under minimum or no supervision carries out procedures and tests to ensure that information systems and services meet standards and end-user
- Testing all aspects of the product/system including function/component, system, performance, regression and service.
- Work with development team to identify and capture test cases and ensure version management.
- Evaluating written code to ensure it meets project specifications.
- Developing quality assurance strategies and organizing phased testing with QA engineers
- Monitoring errors in the system and discussing them with other colleagues.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Setting up of test environments, designing test plans, developing test cases/scenarios/usage cases, and executing these cases
- Help troubleshoot issues.
- Providing feedback on usability and serviceability, trace the result to quality risk and report it to concerned people in development.
Introduction IBM recently announced that it acquired Polar Security, a DSPM pioneer. Polar's agentless solution automatically finds unknown and sensitive data across the cloud, including structured and unstructured assets, SaaS apps, and within cloud service providers such as AWS. Once discovered, Polar classifies the data, maps the potential and actual flow of that data, and identifies vulnerabilities, such as misconfigurations, over-entitlements, and behavior that violates policy or regulations. IBM intends to integrate Polar's DSPM technology into IBM Security's Guardium family of data security products.
Required Technical and Professional Expertise - 3+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and Software Testing
- Working Knowledge of Manual QA tools and frameworks including TestRail, LoadRunner, BugZilla, TestLink, qTest, Zephyr etc.
- Experience using Atlassian JIRA
- Experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins
- Working knowledge of using cloud computing and containers deployments
- An understanding of the software development life cycle as well as the business approach for the product
- Specialize in at least in area like Functional / Performance / Security testing
- Helping with bug detection and fixing
- Demonstrated Analytical skills and decision-making ability, attention to details and a strong test aptitude.
- Ability to work in a team as well as an individual contributor.
- Ability to work under pressure and maintain deadlines.
Preferred Technical and Professional Experience - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience with cloud-based platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, IBM Cloud ) and their deployment tools.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Understanding of compliance and regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, SOX, HIPAA
