Your role in the team

As an Engineering Lead you are responsible for leading from a technical perspective a Scrum team of developers and testers. Your time distribution between tech work vs. people management is like 70% vs. 30%. Daily duties include:

• Design, implementation and documentation of solutions in collaboration with Developers, Testers and Solution Architects
• Responsibility for the integrity of the software, ensuring technical debt is managed effectively (avoid creating it & remove it whenever there's opportunity) in collaboration with Principal Engineering and Site Reliability teams
• Hands on leadership and coaching of the team, team management, supporting personal development
• Collaborating on non-technical and technical requirements with Product Owners and Scrum Masters
• and with Project Managers on delivery
• Reviewing code and providing constructive feedback
• Collaborating with QA to ensure tests are aligned with the solution and complement tests written by development
• Responsibility for CI & release pipeline being set up for all applications delivered. Organise & execute releases

Who we are looking for

• Proven technical or full team leadership experience
• Deep Technical expertise as either a Developer, Cloud/System Engineer or Test Automation Engineer with an appreciation and understanding of all 3 roles
• Knowledge of Java/JavaScript language such as Java, ReactJS, NodeJS
• Knowledge of AWS technologies and Testing methodologies
• Experience with some of technologies we're working with: HTTP, Docker, REST API, Linux systems, scripting (Bash, Python, other), web performance, cloud orchestrators, testing frameworks
