Electricity North West distributes electricity through 57,000 kilometres of overhead lines and underground cables, enough to go around the world one and a half times. We actively manage the power network in real time, responding to issues with remote technology and teams on the ground. We provide an essential service to 5 million people in 2.4 million properties covering 10% of the electricity demand of Great Britain from Cheshire to Cumbria.

As a IT Testing Apprentice, you'll work with and learn from the team, getting involved in the quality assurance stage of software development and deployment. You'll conduct automated and manual tests to ensure the software created by developers is fit for purpose, works as intended and any bugs or issues are removed within a product before it gets deployed to our crucial business users.

About You:
You will need the following skills and qualifications to start your career journey with us;
- A minimum of Maths and English Language at GCSE (or equivalent) levels 4 - 9 or A* - C;
As well as one of the following -
- Two A Levels A* - C (one must be in a STEM subject), or
- A BTEC National Certificate Level 3 in a relevant subject (merit or distinction)
We will also be looking for:
- Working as part of a team;
- An interest in driving forward your career;
- Good IT skills, with a desire to learn and develop.
