IT Operations Manager

We are recruiting for a Operations Manager to join our IT team. This is a new position and an exciting time to join the team as we go through a period of change with various projects being undertaken. The IT department is responsible for giving Saxon Weald staff the tools they need to provide an excellent service for our customers through the use of reliable and secure systems.
The purpose of the IT Operations Manager is to lead the IT Operations team, in providing an excellent service for internal customers and the business. You will ensure the successful delivery of IT, infrastructure, security operations and deliver IT Operations that meet business needs and are aligned to the organisation's transformation objectives.

We are recruiting for a Operations Manager to join our IT team. The purpose of the IT Operations Manager is to lead the IT Operations team, in providing an excellent service for internal customers and the business. You will ensure the successful delivery of IT, infrastructure, security operations and deliver IT Operations that meet business needs and are aligned to the organisation's transformation objectives.
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Have demonstrated experience of successfully managing a distributed IT service desk.
- Have a Microsoft MCSE qualification or equivalent
- Be ITIL or Cobit certified
- Have strong leadership skills and experience managing a team of service desk staff and technical specialists
- Have experience providing IT support and acting as a point of escalation.
- Have excellent communication skills and ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues
- Be passionate about delivering exceptional service to internal customers
