Our Cloud Platform Infrastructure team builds and operates several globally distributed clouds for a diverse set of internal and external users. Reliable and cost-effective operation of our systems is critical to the success of our customers and Akamai's business. We help bring new customers onto the platform, and we ensure they use it in the most effective way.
Make a difference to our software quality
You will ensure the quality of the highly complex systems that run our distributed clouds. These systems include hypervisors as well as deployment, provisioning, controlling, and monitoring systems. You will collaborate with the development and service-reliability teams with systems architects, product and program managers, and internal customers.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for:
- Collaborating in designing and executing test plans for software features
- Developing tests, test automation, and testing frameworks in Python
- Testing new software features and releases
- Developing and running performance benchmarks
- Maintaining test/lab environments
- Setting up system monitoring and dashboards
Do what you love
To be successful in this role you will:
- 5+ years of relevant experience and a BTech/MTech degree in computer science
- Demonstrate excellence coding in Python and automation through Bash scripting
- Have experience in Linux system administration (specifically, server administration, networking, system internals, and package management)
- Have experience in Automation frameworks for testing, and distributed systems.
- Have experience with Pytest and Jenkins for testing and continuous integration.
- Have the art of collaboration (a team player with solid written and verbal communication skills)
