Fawkes and Reece are currently recruiting for an Security IT Operations Analyst for a Main Tier 1 contractor based in Hertfordshire - Watford.

Permanent - Full Time Position

£55,000 per annum

The first is the day-to-day operations of the in-place security solutions while the second is the identification, investigation, and resolution of security breaches detected by those systems. Secondary tasks also include involvement in the implementation of new security solutions, participation in the creation and or maintenance of policies, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as conducting security audits, assessments and investigations. The SecOps Analyst is expected to be fully aware of the enterprise's security goals as established by its stated policies, procedures, and guidelines and to actively work towards upholding those goals.

Role Requirements:

Experience- Formal Education & Certification

One or more of the following certifications:

CompTIA Security+

Microsoft Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900)

Microsoft Azure Security Technologies (AZ-500)

Microsoft 365 Fundamentals (MS-900)

Microsoft 365 Security Administration (MS-500)

ITIL FoundationKnowledge & Experience

Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure

Experience with Microsoft 365

ITIL

ISO27001

CyberEssentials +

Working technical knowledge of Nessus Vulnerability Scanner

Strong understanding of IP, TCP/IP, and other network administration protocols.

Strong understanding of Firewalls and Firewall Rules

Up to date knowledge regarding current threats, vulnerabilities and exploits and associated mitigation technologies (A/V, Anti-Malware, IPS, DRM, DLP etc)

Familiarity with Splunk

Email Filtering - MS Exchange - Threat identification Vetting
