An IT Support and Service company with a well-established background in offering clients great customer service, professional advice and top class IT support and services, is looking for a Service Desk Engineer.
Job Summary:
The role will ideally suit a person who has 3 plus years relevant work experience in the IT industry. You must be able to obtain a clean DBS certificate and provide evidence of your eligibility to work in the United Kingdom. You must be customer focused and have excellent people skills and be a confident communicator, particularly on the phone. A key requirement of the role is to be able to prioritise tasks and be well organised.
The ideal candidate will have:
• A keen interest in computers, networks and technology
• 3 Years plus experience in an IT Support role for an IT Service Provider
• Experience in customer service and will demonstrate a friendly approachable manner
• The ability to prioritise, working through a list of support calls in an organised and methodical manner
• Excellent attention to detail
• A can do attitude and proven team working skills
• Security focused mind-set
• Microsoft certifications
Duties and responsibilities:
• Handling 2nd and 3rd line service tickets
• Troubleshooting a wide variety of technical issues
• Conducting network diagnostics
• Creating and updating of IT documentation
• Supporting end users and providing basic training in the use of the IT solutions
• Creation and amendments of user accounts
Required Knowledge:
• Microsoft Windows Desktops
• Microsoft Active Directory
• Network switches, VLANs, Wireless networks
• Network security (Firewalls and filtering)
• Antivirus/anti-malware Security products
• Microsoft 365 Administration (AAD/SharePoint/Exchange etc.)
• Remote access solutions (RDP/Citrix)
