Sr. Application Developer - JavaScript
The successful candidate for this role will implement UI Applications that integrate data from API's for presentation. The Application Developer will interact with other team members to discern application requirements.

The successful candidate for this role will implement UI Applications that integrate data from API's for presentation. The Application Developer will interact with other team members to discern application requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop and maintain performant and scalable applications.
- Build and improve visual tools for application development and data science that enable users to build applications quickly.
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, User Interaction Designers and other engineers on the team.
- Engage in cross-team technical design discussions on the application architecture, UI components, UX, back-end and third-party integration and testing.
- Rapidly fix bugs, solve problems and proactively strive to improve Smart Platform products and technologies.
- Deliver on individual project assignments utilizing industry coding standards and design techniques.
- Help build a team and cultivate innovation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of professional software development experience with Javascript.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English to collaborate across teams.
- Strong understanding of JavaScript, its quirks and workarounds.
- Strong understanding of web markup, including HTML5 and CSS3
- Experience with NoSQL databases, MongoDB preferred.
- Experience with React.js preferred.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX
- Good understanding of browser API's, rendering behavior and performance
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git, or ideally BitBucket.
