About the Role :
- Development of Mobile Application software (iOS (Swift) and Android (Kotlin and Java)) that meets the needs of customers by refining/reviewing requirements, designing a solution, implementing the solid application solution, assisting with or writing automation test plans and documentation, and maintaining the solution.
Under minimal supervision, the Mobile Development Engineer can be responsible for several components of a project or complex component of a larger project. This position contributes to their team or department by applying their knowledge of software and user interface development.
Education & Experience:
- Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering - BS required, MS preferred Primary Skills:
- Must have a minimum of 6 years of Software development experience with at least 4+ years developing Mobile Applications on Android and iOS platforms (predominantly Android)
- Must have expert knowledge of Mobile application development.
- Must have experience with writing and interacting with web services / back end service end points (SOAP/REST) with SOA framework
- Must have ability to organize large-scale front-end mobile application codebases using common mobile design patterns and libraries.
- Strong familiarities in dealing with different tools (Android Studio / XCode, Git, confluence, SharePoint etc.) and software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum/Kanban).
- Good to have knowledge of communicating with other devices peripherals over Bluetooth / NFC / RFID / WiFi / Other communication mechanisms.
- Knowledge on cross platform / hybrid mobile app development such as ReactNative/ Xamarin / any other is an added advantage.
- Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must have excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Secondary Skills:
- User interface design experience
- Familiarity with unit testing of mid layer and front-end code
- Experience and knowledge on process of deploying applications on AppStore, PlayStore (iOS / Android)
- Passionate about CI/CD & automation
- Familiarity with unit testing of mid layer and front-end code
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
